Anthony Payne is a multi-award-winning corporate and financial communications consultant with 30+ years’ experience advising asset managers and financial services firms on positioning, messaging, investor communications and reputation management. He supports communications with print, online and broadcast media, and works across stakeholder audiences including employees, investors, analysts and other key influencers.
Anthony is the founder of Peregrine (est. 2003). Prior to founding Peregrine, he was Managing Director of Hill & Knowlton Financial (WPP), the global financial communications consultancy.
His work includes integrated marketing communications and strategic advisory mandates for organisations including Brevan Howard, Patria Investments, Union Bancaire Privee, Dexion Captial, Harvest Asset Management, Wells Fargo Asset Management, Mirae Asset Global Investments, J.P. Morgan Private Equity, Citibank, Coutts, Credit Suisse, Acadian, SkyBridge, Julius Baer and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He has also advised on a large number of IPO and M&A transactions.
Anthony is recognised as an expert in messaging and branding for asset management firms and as a crisis communications specialist. In 2019, he was recognised by The Hedge Fund Journal for an outstanding contribution to marketing, and he has been listed in PRWeek Power Book (2011 to present). Trained as a lawyer, Anthony is also a registered representative of the London Stock Exchange.
