Q: Tell us about your job and the clients you work for.
A: I’ve been an Associate Director at Peregrine for two and a half years. I enjoy working with some interesting and innovative firms such as UBP, Omni Partners, Saranac Partners, Optimum Asset Management, Crestbridge and the Association of the Luxembourg Funds Industry.
Q: What is the most valuable skill you have learned here?
A: One of the most valuable skills that I’ve learned at Peregrine is how to produce effective messaging for clients. In today’s competitive environment, firms need to communicate their edge and differentiators in order to stand out and succeed. It’s about truly understanding what investors need and delivering the solutions.
Q: What is the best part of your job?
A: Without doubt, the best part of my job is immersing myself in a messaging workshop – drilling through generic messages to find out what really makes our clients different. Aside from that, I particularly enjoy working in the field of sustainable finance and promoting impact investing.
This is an exciting time to be a marketer for financial services with so many more channels to amplify the messages. Firms can no longer rely on traditional PR methods alone as investors demand educational content delivered through social media and sophisticated websites. Videos can bring a company to life in a matter of minutes and analytical tools can track and measure our work. Marketing is becoming more visual as exemplified by Instagram and can have a greater impact.
