Salary band: $50,000 - $65,000 – dependent on experience

Comms skills

  • Writing skills for key client documents
  • Create media background and briefing materials to help prepare clients for interviews
  • Selling in press releases and by-lined articles – secure relevant opportunities and results
  • Hosting client media interviews
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with relevant journalists
  • Build and maintain editorial, speaking and awards and events calendars

Digital skills

  • Produce content for social posts
  • Understanding of Google Analytics
  • Basic understanding of how social can complement comms work
  • Basic understanding of Hubspot
  • Ability to write Google ad campaigns

Administrative/agency operations

  • Builds own profile within team
  • Time management on multiple accounts, using
  • Develops activity plans and compiles target media lists, drafts meetings agendas
  • Manage interns on daily scans and clippings
  • Positive contribution to the team
  • Understanding of current affairs
  • Quality standards across all work

Client services

  • Editorial planning - follow up and evaluation
  • Builds relationships with clients – secondary point of contact in absence of SAE/AM
  • Understands wider marketing mix
  • Understanding of industry sector - keep yourself informed about the clients business, their market, and their competitors
  • Research – look online for stories that are relevant to your clients
  • Keeps managers informed
